What Are Web Visits?
A WebVisit is a medical consultation, provided online using secure technology. It allows you to receive treatment from your own physician without going into the office. You complete a thorough patient history form focused on your symptoms, which I will review before choosing a treatment plan. I then communicate directions on your treatment plan back to you through the secure site.
WebVisits are only available for established patients (you must have visited me in my office at least once prior to using this service). They can be used for new or existing problems, which, in my opinion, don’t require face to face care. Examples are: routine follow up on cholesterol or thyroid problems, uncomplicated sinus or urinary tract infections. They are NOT SUITABLE for severe issues such as trouble breathing, severe bleeding, chest pain that you think might be a heart attack (Call 911 now for any of these issues!).

click here to make your same day or future appointment instead. I usually will reply to a completed WebVisit within hours, though it may take up to 48 hours, especially over weekends/holidays. Please do not use WebVisits if you need an immediate response.
Payment for Web Visits
Most insurance companies do not pay for these visits, although you may want to call your insurance company to find out if you can submit your receipt for reimbursement. The charge for a virtual visit is $20-30 (depending on your Meliora payment plan), automatically paid by credit card through the Relay Health system. If I review your webvisit and think you should come in, I’ll apply your on-line payment to your office visit.
5 Steps to Complete a Web Visit
- Please click here to go to the Relay Health site where you will need to create an account if you have not already done so.
- Once your account is created, login and review the "Getting Started" email in your Relay Health inbox, "Add a Family Member" if you will be completing webvisits your your children, or just go directly to the WebVisit link in the menu on the upper left hand side.
- The WebVisit process will have you answer a questionnaire specific to your identified problem. At the end of the questionnaire, you'll have the opportunity to review your answers and to add other clarifying information that you would like me to have, as well as to enter your pharmacy data.
- At the end of the visit, you will be asked for your credit card information if it is not already saved within RelayHealth. The fee is generally $20 (Plan C) or $30 (Plan A). If I determine that you need to be seen in the office, the fee will be applied to your office visit. If the WebVisit results in an extended phone call or complex follow-up, I reserve the right to charge for the additional time.
- After I receive the WebVisit, I will contact you regarding treatment/ follow up suggestions for your medical issues. Response will usually be va email, though sometimes by phone if additional clarification is needed. Return contact typically will occur within 24 hours (possibly longer on weekends and holidays, up to 48 hours).
